FreshDirect is an online grocery delivery business serving customers between Delaware and Connecticut.
The company also offers catering, liquor delivery and prepped-meal kits. The privately held business employs more than 3,000 people. It’s erecting a 650,000-square-foot complex in the Bronx, New York to house its corporate headquarters and warehouse. In January, it launched FoodKick, which lets app users order edibles and beverages that can be delivered in an hour or two to parts of Brooklyn and Queens in New York City.
