GI Partners is an investment management firm with more than $12 billion in capital commitments. The San Francisco-based firm with 58 employees in three offices focuses on middle-market companies primarily in four sectors: health care, retail and leisure, business and financial services, and technology and media.
Its real estate team, however, has surpassed the private-equity side in value, with more than $7 billion under management. Recent acquisitions include commercial and industrial properties in Texas, Colorado, Arizona and Illinois.
