PRISON REFORM: Former Attorney General Eric Holder Jr., now a partner at Covington & Burling, has teamed up with the Washington Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights & Urban Affairs to issue a report urging “that women with up to two years left on their sentences be allowed to serve at D.C.’s Correctional Treatment Facility, a privately run jail in Southeast D.C.” rather than be sent to far-off federal prisons in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Texas or Minnesota, reports Politico’s Josh Gerstein.
