NEW YORK — A lawyer accused of cheating 30 immigrant clients has been acquitted of all criminal charges.

The New York County District Attorney’s Office said on March 29 that Owolabi Salis was acquitted after a jury trial. Salis, 53, faced charges including third-degree grand larceny, which carried the possibility of up to seven years in prison.
