Robert Ingato is the general counsel at CIT Group Inc., a New York-based financial-services firm serving small and midsized businesses.
CIT focuses its lending efforts on specific industries, including aerospace and defense business services, communications, energy, entertainment, gaming, health care, information services and technology, restaurants, retail, sports and transportation. CIT Group also maintains a sizable commercial aircraft leasing business. The firm employs around 5,000. The recent hiring trend is flat, Ingato said.
