Early indicators point to an increase in the number of people applying to law school, following a five-year decline.

Jerome Organ, a professor at the University of St. Thomas School of Law who tracks enrollment trends, is estimating that 57,500 people will apply to American Bar Association-accredited law schools this admissions cycle, which would be 3,000 more than last year—a 5.5 percent bump.
