A $3.5 million donation from the Charles Koch Foundation will help fund a new criminal justice reform program at Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.

The Deason Family Criminal Justice Reform Center is being established with a $7 million gift—half from the Charles Koch Foundation and the other half from the Deason Foundation, a nonprofit established by Affiliated Computer Systems Inc. founder Darwin Deason.
