The Minnesota Vikings and Wells Fargo & Co. have set the playing field in a battle-of-the-banks branding dispute as the football team’s new stadium awaits its unveiling in Minneapolis this July.

The Vikings, whose new home will be called U.S. Bank Stadium, on Monday filed a motion for summary judgment asking U.S. District Judge Donovan Frank to have Wells Fargo remove two raised, illuminated corporate signs from the roof of twin 17-story towers that have risen adjacent to the $1 billion-plus stadium.
