K&L Gates is on a hiring spree this summer in Washington, D.C., after losing one of its key groups in the city to Mayer Brown earlier in the year.

The Washington- and Pennsylvania-centric global firm announced Monday its hire of Steven Hill as a partner for its antitrust and trade regulation practice in the nation’s capital. Hill, who was unavailable for immediate comment, previously was of counsel at Baker & McKenzie and before that worked at Arent Fox, Howrey and Hunton & Williams.
