Cleveland’s legal market still punches above its weight. Although the city has a smaller population than Detroit, Kansas City, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Phoenix and Seattle, it ranks higher on the NLJ 500, which measures the number of lawyers at major firms.
“There is a positive vibe in the market,” said Robyn Minter Smyers, the partner-in-charge of Thompson Hine’s Cleveland office, citing the city’s hosting of the Republican National Convention in July and the Cavaliers’ NBA championship in June. “The glow is still on.”
