Dentons, a growing global legal giant that reshuffled its U.S. leadership on Monday, also saw a federal district court judge issue a ruling Sunday allowing a pair of claims against the firm by the Republic of Guinea to proceed.

The ruling comes in a suit by Guinea against Dentons’ U.S. arm over legal work for the world’s largest mining development. Guinea filed the claim against Dentons in October 2015, a year after Dentons sued the West African nation, alleging that the country failed to pay it $10.2 million in fees for counsel related to the troubled $20 billion Simandou iron ore mining and infrastructure project.
