Dean Hart is challenging Michael Montesano for his New York legislative seat, and he believes he’s hit a winning issue: Long Island’s own Piano Man.

Hart, a Democrat from Oyster Bay, says his opponent has had six years to pass legislation pass legislation that would name a stretch of road in the state after Billy Joel. But in the six years that Montesano’s held the office, the bill went nowhere, and Hart thinks that’s been the longest time. “My opponent is either impotent or is simply not trying,” Hart said, “because everyone loves Bill Joel.”
