President-elect Donald Trump has asked to delay a trial scheduled this month in a high-profile civil fraud case until after he is inaugurated—but he has offered to undergo a video deposition or recorded trial testimony, as long as it’s all kept confidential.

In a motion filed on Saturday, Trump lawyer Daniel Petrocelli, chairman of O’Melveny & Myers’ trial practice committee, cited an “unprecedented circumstance” that required a continuance of the Nov. 28 trial in San Diego in a case brought by former Trump University students.
