Fish & Richardson will be the first major law firm in Washington to relocate to a new commercial frontier of the city, the Southwest waterfront, the firm announced last week.

The intellectual property firm signed a lease to be the first office tenant a commercial building at of The Wharf, a $2 billion, mile-long, mixed-use development along the Potomac River in the city’s smallest quadrant.
