ChargePoint Inc. is a builder of charging stations for electric vehicles based in Campbell, California. When launched in 2007, it focused on building a network of so-called “around town” charging stations, many of which are independently operated by businesses. Drivers can locate charging spots near them using ChargePoint’s mobile app.
ChargePoint has in the past two years launched new products, including a charger for residences. It has raised more than $164 million from investors that include Rho Ventures and Kleiner Perkins Caufield Byers.
