U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions gave a rare glimpse into his philosophy on white-collar crime Monday, putting an emphasis on holding individuals accountable for crimes instead of companies.
Since he took office Feb. 9, the attorney general has focused his public statements on violent crime and immigration while saying little on how the Department of Justice will handle white-collar criminal enforcement. Sessions broke away from that Monday during a speech at the Ethics & Compliance Initiative’s annual conference in Washington, D.C.
