A federal judge has dismissed most of a proposed class action brought by the ACLU Foundation of Southern California accusing the FBI and several of its employees of illegally monitoring Muslims during investigations into possible terrorists.

The Aug. 14 ruling by U.S. District Judge Cormac Carney in Santa Ana came one day after the ACLU sued The Walt Disney Co. on behalf of a former Disneyland employee who alleged she was denied the right to wear a hijab, or Muslim headscarf, while on the job.
