When the sunlight began to stream through the solar light pipe in our new offices, nearly six years of planning and construction came to fruition. The five-ton light pipe, which refracts sunlight through dozens of panels of prismatic glass, is the stunning focal point of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius’ new building at 1111 Pennsylvania Ave., N.W. Besides providing natural light to interior offices and communal areas, this glowing structure gives a sense of connection among the various practice groups, as well as the nearly 700 people who pass by it every day.
