Despite a federal statute stating that "an order remanding a case to the State court from which it was removed is not reviewable on appeal or otherwise," the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled on June 30 that it has the authority to review some remand orders made pursuant to the Securities Litigation Uniform Standards Act of 1998 (SLUSA).
