When W. Mike Baggett became chief executive officer of Winstead Sechrest & Minick in late 1991, the Dallas firm’s only other offices were in Houston and Austin, Texas, and the firm had about 170 lawyers.

But today, the 304-lawyer firm has branched out, with offices in Texas cities Fort Worth, San Antonio and The Woodlands as well as Washington, D.C. For the first time in 2007, the CEO will be based in the firm’s Houston office.
