Perkins Coie will open its second China office in Shanghai’s Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, an area some refer to as the Chinese Silicon Valley.
That location is not where U.S.-based firms typically set up shop in Shanghai, but Perkins wanted to be near many of its major pharmaceutical and technology clients, said James Zhu, a Los Angeles associate who works with the firm’s China business.
