Latham & Watkins nabbed a second former Enron prosecutor last week when Kathryn Ruemmler joined the Washington, D.C., office as a partner in the litigation department.
Ruemmler, who stepped down as the deputy director of the Justice Department’s Enron task force in December, follows former task force director Sean Berkowitz, who joined the firm’s Chicago office in November. Ruemmler delivered the closing arguments in the trial of Enron founder Kenneth Lay and chief executive Jeffrey Skilling.
