Starbucks GC Sees Grounds for Diversity

Specialty coffee retailer Starbucks Corp. has 12,400 shops in 35 countries spanning North America, Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and the Pacific Rim. Sales of almost $7.8 billion at the conclusion of the last fiscal year account for the firm's No. 338 slot on the Fortune 500. A diverse work force is of high importance to Starbucks and its GC, Paula E. Boggs, who says the legal team also holds its outside law firms to a "very high standard," and monitors their progress on diversity.
