A former associate at Thacher Proffitt & Wood was sentenced to 33 months in prison following his guilty plea to a $2 million insider trading scheme.

Amir Rosenthal, 29, a graduate of New York University School of Law, received inside information from his father, Zvi, 62, about Taro Pharmaceutical Industries, where Zvi was a vice president (the company was not a Thacher client and no client information was used in the scheme).
