Ford Motor Co. and two co-defendants are seeking mass tort designation for multiple suits that seek damages for health hazards from a toxic landfill in Passaic County, N.J., near a former Ford plant.
The defendants argue that the 656 plaintiffs’ claims arise from the same set of facts and plead similar injuries and that centralized management would save money and streamline the process.
