New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer has “no intention” of complying with subpoenas issued by Republicans in the state Senate and both sides are preparing to litigate the dispute, a state senator said Oct. 18.

Joseph diGenova, the Senate’s Washington, D.C.-based attorney, and Spitzer’s attorney, Deitrich L. Snell of Proskauer Rose, have been discussing their differences over the subpoenas and how they could be brought before a state judge, Senator George H. Winner Jr. said.
