Not always seeing the highest of highs in a strong economy might bode well for Pennsylvania firms when financial times become a bit tougher.
Although Dechert, a firm with the highest profits per equity partner by far in Pennsylvania, faced the possibility of layoffs recently in its financial and real estate practice, other large firms in the state are better insulated from poor economic conditions because of a diversification of practice areas, industry leaders said.
