In the 1960s, the NAACP was fighting for the Civil Rights Act, the Voting Rights Act, and the Fair Housing Act. At that time, there were Jim Crow schools, segregated lunch counters, and Bull Connor.

Today, however, the NAACP is using its considerable resources and clout to support H.R. 906, which would guarantee felons a federal right to vote once they’re released from prison.
