Internal disputes at Napoli Bern Ripka Shkolnik continue to roil the 80-attorney personal injury firm.
This month, partner Alan Ripka and four employees brought petitions in state court against equity partner Paul Napoli after he began an arbitration against them. The employees allege Napoli harassed a paralegal and threatened him with police action.
These and other legal actions follow a brutal breach of contract dispute between Napoli and co-equity partner Marc Bern, in Napoli v. Bern, 159576/2014, where each claims the other is out to ruin the partnership.

The complaint, filed Aug. 27 in Pennsylvania Eastern District Court by Brodsky & Smith on behalf of Hung Trinh, accuses the defendant of discharging polluted stormwater from its steel facility without a permit in violation of the Clean Water Act.
