Lowe’s, the national home improvement retailer, will be taking up residence in Chelsea in 2015. Lowe’s Companies Inc. has signed a 15-year lease with SL Green Realty Corp. to open a flagship store, with 36,000 square feet, at 635-641 Sixth Ave.
“We know Manhattan customers are shopping with us online and in our New York area stores,” Natalie Turner, a Lowe’s spokeswoman, said in an email. “Now customers will have convenient access to the full breadth of Lowe’s offerings whether they shop in store, pick up online orders or purchase items for same or next-day delivery.”
