The committee appointed by Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman to evaluate his proposal to adopt the Uniform Bar Examination as the basis of the New York state bar exam has added a fourth public hearing, on March 4, to its schedule.

The committee will meet beginning at 2 p.m. at the New York City Bar Association, 42 West 44th St., in Manhattan.

Among those scheduled to speak are Erica Moeser, president and chief executive officer of the National Conference of Bar Examiners. Her Madison, Wisconsin-based group develops the UBE and would be responsible under the Lippman plan for supplying most of the materials comprising a new New York state bar examination.
