Bronx District Attorney Robert Johnson's office has hired four new assistant district attorneys who recently completed a one-week training and have started working for various divisions within the office.

The new assistants are Darcel Calixte, a graduate of Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center; Antigone Curis of Quinnipiac University School of Law in Hamden, Connecticut; Matthew DeSaro of Brooklyn Law School; and Erin Ross of the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University.

The Bronx district attorney's office conducts two rounds of hiring each year, in March and in September, spokeswoman Terry Raskyn said. There will be a larger number of assistants hired in the September round, Raskyn said, but the total number of fall hires has yet to be determined.
