At a time of uncertainty for law schools across New York and the country, Columbia Law School seems to be weathering the storm, keeping its place among the country's premier law schools.

But Gillian Lester, who is entering her third month as dean of Columbia Law, said there's still room for improvement.

She has been working to crystallize a vision for the future of the school that includes innovating its curriculum and expanding its international perspective.
