State and city agencies pledged Friday to partner with local law schools, to, in the words of Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, “make New York's laws and regulations less opaque” to help tech startups.

Schneiderman and New York City Corporation Counsel Zachary Carter announced in a joint news release that they would work together in the effort, which Schneiderman discussed in a speech at Fordham University School of Law.

Participating schools are the Brooklyn Law Incubator and Policy (BLIP) Clinic, the Tech Startup Clinic of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, and the Center on Law and Information Policy (CLIP) at Fordham Law School.
