Hannah Arterian, dean of the Syracuse University College of Law for the last 13 years, will step down from her post Aug. 1, the school announced on Monday.

According to a release from the school, Arterian, 65, will go on leave to focus on research and scholarly activities and plans to return to the faculty, though she said she has not determined when she plans to return.
