First Pro Bono Scholars Admitted to the Bar

The first class of Pro Bono Scholars, a program that allows 3L students to spend their final semesters of law school working in the field, was sworn in this week to each of the state's four appellate division departments.
The program has 106 participants statewide. This week, 72 of those were admitted to the bar.
The largest group was sworn in by the Appellate Division, Second Department, which admitted 41 scholars at its courthouse in Brooklyn Tuesday. The First and Fourth departments on Monday swore in nine and 12 scholars, respectively. The Third Department swore in 10 scholars on Wednesday.
