A former St. John's University School of Law student whose application was rescinded after previous drug convictions that he did not disclose to the school came to light was admitted to Pace Law School in White Plains and began classes on Monday.

David Powers, who was a part-time student at St. John's from 2006 to 2008, had disclosed in his 2005 application to St. John's that he had been convicted of third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

But, in fact, Powers charged with distribution of LSD, possession of Ecstasy, and possession of both drugs with intent to distribute, after a 1999 arrest in New Jersey.
