Despite the testimony of more than 40 prosecution witnesses over nearly four months, defense attorneys in the fraud case against former Dewey & LeBoeuf executives rested their case Tuesday and moved right into summations.

Elkan Abramowitz, a partner at Morvillo Abramowitz Grand Iason & Anello delivered the first closing argument on behalf of former Dewey chairman Steven Davis to a captivated jury and an unusually full courtroom.

“There is not one shred of evidence that Mr. Davis acted in anything other than good faith,” Abramowitz said. “He never had any intent to defraud anyone.”
