New York Law School has received a $5 million gift to establish the Joe Plumeri Center for Social Justice and Economic Opportunity, which will house the law school's more than 20 clinical programs.

The school recently completed a $2.5 million renovation of a building on its TriBeCa campus to house the school's clinical programs, which had been spread around the campus, dean Anthony Crowell said.

With all of the programs in one space, Crowell noted, clients who seek help in one area of the law may find they have needs that can be served by other clinical programs. “This really allows us to put everything together and offer a complete suite of services, should they be needed,” he said.
