Callan, Koster, Brady & Nagler is suing its former name partner, Paul Callan, alleging he defrauded the partnership of millions of dollars by concealing a lucrative civil case he had taken on before leaving the firm.

“Callan, a CNN legal analyst and self-styled 'celebrity lawyer,' deliberately discarded his duties as a partner in order to defraud his former partnership of millions of dollars in fees for himself and his co-defendants,” the firm said in its complaint filed Nov. 24 in Manhattan Supreme Court.

Callan Koster partners are seeking at least $3 million in damages from Callan, who regularly appears on CNN as a commentator, and Martin Edelman, who worked on the civil case at issue. The suit also names as a defendant Edelman & Edelman, a seven-attorney personal injury firm.
