The estate of a window washer who plunged at least 12 stories to his death has reached a $9 million settlement in a lawsuit brought against a Manhattan building co-op and a window installation company.

Tracy Domaszowec, the estate administrator and widow of window washer Robert Domaszowec, settled the long-running lawsuit in November with defendants 40 Fifth Avenue Corp., Residential Management Group and Panorama Windows Ltd., according to Tracy Domaszowec's attorneys at Kelner & Kelner, a Manhattan-based personal injury firm.

Panorama will pay $6.4 million under the settlement, and 40 Fifth Avenue will pay $2.6 million, Kelner & Kelner attorneys said. They added that Justice Doris Gonzalez approved the settlement last month.
