A Queens attorney convicted of stealing more than $587,000 from the estate of the late John Phillips Jr., a Brooklyn Civil Court judge who once held $10 million worth of properties in the borough, has been sentenced to one to three years in prison.

Phillips, whose holdings included the recently demolished Slave Theater, died in 2008 unmarried, childless and without a will. Samuel Boykin, Phillips' nephew by marriage, was appointed as administrator of the estate and hired Frank Racano to assist him in the sale of Phillips' properties.

In 2012, the theater and an adjacent lot went into contract for $2.2 million. The down payment and net proceeds from the sale totaled to more than $737,000, according to the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office.
