U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor will attend the 20th anniversary of the Thurgood Marshall Junior Mock Trial Program in the Bronx on Friday.

Sotomayor, who was born and raised in the Bronx, will preside over arguments by eighth grade students at the Bronx County Courthouse, 851 Grand Concourse, at 1 p.m.

This year's eighth graders will argue a robbery under an accomplice liability theory, while seventh graders will argue a homicide case with a self-defense scenario.
