Sullivan & Cromwell saw another of its own chosen to serve in the Trump administration on Friday, when partner Steven Peikin was named U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission enforcement division co-director alongside Stephanie Avakian, now the division's acting director.

The announcement was partly expected, as Peikin's name had been rumored about for months in the legal community.

It's the latest agency pick drawn from the firm, after partner W. Jay Clayton III, who became SEC chair, Jeffrey Wall, who is now acting solicitor general, and Brent McIntosh, who was picked to be general counsel to the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Jed Doty, a former associate at the firm, is also serving in the Trump White House as an associate counsel.
