Barclay Damon, a growing Northeast regional firm, has rolled out new initiatives for associates that range from changes to compensation and bonuses to policies geared toward child care and working from home.

The compensation changes will initially cost the firm “hundreds of thousands of dollars,” said John Langan, Barclay Damon's managing partner, who declined to provide exact figures.

“It's a hit to profitability in the short term,” he conceded. But, he added, “It's an investment in our future.”
