Nicholas McQuaid, a deputy White House counsel to President Obama, joined Latham & Watkins as a partner on Monday, continuing Latham’s hiring streak in New York.

The new hire comes within a week of Latham adding four litigators in New York from Kirkland & Ellis, while continuing to hire elsewhere. Firmwide, McQuaid is the 19th partner to join Latham this year, the firm said.
