Committee OKs Feinman, But Confirmation Uncertain
First Department Justice Justice Paul Feinman was unanimously approved to the state's highest court by the Judiciary Committee, but a full Senate confirmation vote remained unscheduled Tuesday.

The state Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously approved Appellate Division, First Department, Justice Paul Feinman to join the Court of Appeals on Tuesday, paving the way for a full Senate confirmation.
But with the legislative session slated to end Wednesday, a full Senate confirmation remained unscheduled. A spokesman for Senate Majority Leader John Flanagan confirmed that a vote on Feinman would not be held Tuesday.
Sen. John DeFrancisco (R-Syracuse), the deputy majority leader, said the confirmation vote is bogged down because the Legislature is trying to get their work done by tomorrow.
