Visits by ICE agents at New York courts have been on the rise since President Donald Trump took office in January, after which time ICE has stepped up enforcement efforts.
But concern over ICE’s appearances in courthouses seemed to reach a fever pitch earlier this month when agents arrived at Human Trafficking Intervention Court in Queens to pick up a young woman.
