Charles Miller, who practiced for 11 years at Kasowitz Benson Torres, has moved to Tarter Krinsky & Drogin, where he will lead the midsize firm's new securities and financial services litigation group.

Miller joined the 70-attorney firm Monday as a partner representing clients in disputes related to debt and equity securities, derivatives, financial contracts and structured financial transactions. His clients include mid market institutions and companies, small and overseas banks, institutional investors and investment managers.

Miller, 52, said he wanted to move to a smaller firm. “It was the desire to get to a different platform, something smaller, where I would have more direct participation, in particular with the development of business,” Miller said, adding his prior firm, with 260 attorneys, was “much more established from a structural standpoint.”
