A Buffalo man accused of running a major cocaine ring between New York and Texas has pleaded guilty.

Federal prosecutors say 37-year-old Rashawn Dewer's operation brought cocaine from Texas to Buffalo and sent cash back to Texas.

Dewer pleaded guilty in federal court Friday to drug conspiracy following an investigation that saw several big cash seizures by law enforcement. In one 2016 seizure, officers stopped a vehicle in Lake Charles, La., and found $798,000 inside. Investigators traced the money to Dewer and say the vehicle was driven by a co-conspirator from Sugarland, Tx.
